EUINCOOP @ ICT2013, Vilnius
EUINCOOP organized a 90 minutes Networking Session titled "Advanced Computing Systems: Challenges Ahead" at the ICT 2013 Conference on 7th November 2013,Vilnius. EUINCOOP partners, Dr Sathya Rao from KYOS Consulting, Ms Surbhi Sharma and Ms Sourabha Rani from ITSMA coordinated the networking session. The session attracted around 30 participants who were briefed about the EUINCOOP project objectives, results and achievements. The partners highlighted the key findings of the project and the steps forward. A booklet that summarized the key findings and expert recommendations and the projects flyers were distributed at the session. The participants appreciated the project outcomes, especially the recommended joint priority areas, and expressed their willingness to get connected to the project. EUINCOOP @ ADCOM 2013
The Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS) in association with the IEEE Computer Society inaugurated the19th annual International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communications (ADCOM) at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai. EUINCOOP partners IISc- Bangalore, KYOS and ITSMA organized a special session on "Next Generation Computing Systems: Challenges and Opportunities". The project outcomes and future scope of joint bilateral projects were highlighted in the session. The conference was attended by eminent scientists and researchers from across the globe who presented the state of the art in the technology domain of Big Data. The prominent among the participants were Prof. Raj Jain, Washington University in St. Louis, USA, Prof. H.S. EUINCOOP@ Second International Conference on Advances in Cloud Computing (ACC 2013)September 19-20, 2013,Bangalore, India
Computer Society of India, launched the conference series on Advances in Cloud Computing (ACC) to provide an international forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge in the rapidly growing area of Cloud Computing. EUINCOOP partner C-DAC took active part in this Conference by giving Key Note talk, presenting Research paper, and also gave Demos of Scientific Cloud. EUINCOOP@ W3C HTML 5 Workshop, September 19th 2013, Bangalore, India
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) India, MAIT and EUINCOOP partner CDAC organized an HTML5 Tour in India from 17 - 25 September 2013.
The Workshop deliberated the features of HTML5 and W3C's Open Web Platform Technologies and their adoption into Web Applications. EUINCOOP partners ITSMA, CDAC and IISc participated and networked with eminent technology leaders & experts present during the workshop. The EUINCOOP activities and results were disseminated to Industry/Academia and wider public.

EUINCOOP International workshop on next generation computing system EURO-INDIA collaboration in joint Research Activities,
4-5 April 2013, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore India
The goal of the ‘Future of Next generation Computing systems’ workshop was to exchange the needs and priorities of Europe and India in super computing and high power computing domains with an aim to draw out a common research agenda in computing systems to facilitate international cooperation between the two regions.
It was a well represented event with participation from experts from Europe and India.

EUINCOOP Workshop on "Future of Computing Systems- EU-INDIA Research Road Mapping in Computing Systems", Bangalore, 7th and 8th August 2012
The project EUINCOOP jointly with EUCLID project organized a second brokerage event on 7-8 Aug. 2012, in Bangalore. The workshop objective was to identify common research priorities between EU and India and drawing up a preliminary research roadmap. Infineon technologies India; Forus Health care India Limited-Bangalore; CDAC- Bangalore; IISc- Bangalore, IIT- Delhi, GE- India Global Research- Bangalore, Honeywell Technology Solutions- Bangalore and Tata Innovation labs, KYOS Technologies- Switzerland and Intel India participated and discussed collaborative opportunities. EUINCOOP is ideating to bring a joint EU- India tech forum in computing systems as an united forum with participation from Industry and academia, consumers, vendors and all other stakeholders to strengthen the computing systems community to jointly drive the research priorities and build capabilities.

EURO-INDIA Collaboration In Computing systems- Business Tour to India
EUINCOOP is fostering collaboration and cooperation in the computing technologies field between Indian and European research organizations and industries. EUINCOOP plans to organize the Networking tour of HIPEAC members to Indian hotspots in computing systems. The main aim of the tour would be to network with Indian colleagues and to initiate collaborations of all kinds like research, training, mobility. EUINCOOP First Brokerage Event @ HiPEAC Computing Systems Week Goteborg, Sweden 24th and 25th April 2012
HiPEAC covers all computing market segments and coordinates research, improves mobility, and enhances visibility in the computing system field. Many international companies are extending the research activities around the world to tap the expertise and skills, and Europe has signed multiple MoUs with emerging countries (e.g. BRIC) for collaborative research. EUINCOOP is one such project supporting collaboration across Europe and India.
The project organized the first brokerage event here in Sweden on 24th April 2012. The thematic issue chosen was international collaboration. The event was well attended with more than 30 persons. There were 3 Experts from India and 5 from Europe provided their visionary contributions, including a talk from the EUINCOOP project officer, providing an overview of ongoing activities in Europe and future plans in HORIZON 2020 programme

EUINCOOP Kickoff Meeting, Bangalore, India, 17th Oct 2011
The project started on 1 Oct. 2011 and the project consortium had their kick-off meeting on 17 Oct. 2011 in Bangalore, India to plan their activities jointly and discuss the regional activities in computing system so that the closer collaboration can be developed across Europe and Indian research community.
The kick-off meeting was organized to synchronize with ITBiz conference held in Bangalore, in which all major IT companies, Government agencies and researchers were participating, so as to make kick-start the identification of main actors.

The HiPEAC conference provides a forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers, and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems. International Conference on High Performance Computing (HiPC 2011), Bangalore, India, 18-21 December, 2011
HiPC is an international meeting on high performance computing which serves as a forum to present the current work by researchers from all over the world. The conference hosted several core computing sessions such as Workshop on Hybrid Computing and Keynote on Challenges in Computing. The sessions involved participation from Industry experts, Academia and Researchers. The conference had 40 contributed papers chosen from 206 submissions from 22 countries; and more than 400 attendees. Associated with the conference the Exhibitions were also organised for industrial participation with the state of the art technologies.
EUINCOOP partners participated in the multiple sessions and also established industrial contacts, got their feedback on future challenges in computing systems through a questionnaire prepared for the purpose. More info
eIndia National ICT event, Gandhinagar, India, 14-16 Dec. 2011
eIndia 2011 Conference was a platform for sharing of knowledge, challenges, ideas and best practices amongst the various stakeholders driving ICT initiatives. The conference had three major tracks focusing on e-Gov, digitallearning & eHealth. The participants included Top level decision makers, experts, leaders and stakeholders; International dignitaries, international development organisations, service providers, IT vendors, consulting firms; Ministries, government agencies, bilateral and multilateral agencies, non-government organisations, the global ICT industry, and civil society. EUINCOOP partners CDAC participated actively in the event and gathered national priorities and new initiatives being undertaken by national and regional government agencies. More info
EUINCOOP @ ITBiz conference, Bangalore, India, 10-20 Oct. 2011
ITBiz conference had its primary focus on innovation aimed at capturing major Research & Development (R&D) developments in the country. The event attracted ICT industry majors like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Intel, IBM, HCL, Airtel, Nokia, Siemens, Map my India, Mahendra Satyam, Tata Elxsi, Texas Instruments, Dell and Tessolve. The participants also included over 110 exhibitors AND 900 plus delegates and 600 plus companies along with states like Rajasthan and Bihar - the latest states to foray into the IT sector. The conferences and seminars focused on Innovative solutions offered by ICT and hardware industry in.
EUINCOOP joined hands with another EU funded Syncnrnizer project in organising a session with experts from India to discuss major challenges of the future in ICT and in computing systems. More info...
